Perhaps the win against Texas went straight to George Blaney's head.
That or Connecticut's associate head coach just likes to rib Jim Calhoun whenever he can.
News came Tuesday that Calhoun, the longtime Huskies coach, will miss Wednesday's game at Providence to remain an indefinite medical leave of absence. It's the third straight game Calhoun will have missed.
But everything going to plan, according to Blaney – mostly because Calhoun's following doctor's orders. Cue the quip:
"To my knowledge, this is the best he's ever done with following instructions toward anything," Blaney said.
When the interim coach is cracking jokes, you know things are going well.
