Wednesday links, as the country makes the transition from one poll to another that really counted.

One guy that surely paid close attention Tuesday night was Oregon State coach Craig Robinson. He celebrated in Chicago, and was back to work in Corvallis Wednesday, preparing the Beavers for their opener. Hopefully, his brother-in-law has a similar work ethic.

Florida guard Jai Lucas, one of Billy Donovan's prize recruits from 2008, announced he's transferring. Apparently, he decided the Gators weren't the "best fit for him." I tend to agree with Rush the Court: Lucas knew the incoming players (freshman Erving Walker and 2009 stud Kenny Boynton) would nab his playing time.

Why can't Lucas just have the same attitude of Louisville guards Andrew McGee and Edgar Sosa? They "both feel like [they] could start," but want to win even more. That's just another reason why the Cards are a Final Four favorite.

Maybe Duke invested in Muscle Milk this summer. Or maybe the team just hired Kenny Bania to be its trainer.

Is Sherron Collins ready to be Kansas' leader?

Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie has a motto this season: "He who earns it, gets it." Such is life when you have a 20-man roster. Patrick Patterson's always gonna be a stud, but it'll be interesting to see just how good Jodie Meeks is this season.

UConn's figuring out its guard rotation starting … now.

Most exhibition games are dogs, but I hope to catch highlights of "Daddy Mass" returning to Villanova. Just how did Rollie Massimino's team make 22-of-28 shot attempts against Georgetown in 1985? March Madness, indeed.
